Privacy Policy · TradeCorner

Last updated: 26 July 2026 · Applies to the TradeCorner browser extension.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the TradeCorner browser extension ("the extension", "we", "us") collects, why, and the choices you have. We designed TradeCorner to keep as much of your data as possible on your own device, and to collect the minimum needed to provide optional accounts and Pro features.

Data controller. TradeCorner, an independent project, contactable at [email protected].

1. Summary

2. What we collect and why

a) Data stored only on your device (not sent to us)

Held in your browser's local and synced storage. We have no access to it. It includes your watchlist and categories, app settings, your portfolio positions, chart drawings, the trade journal, your notes, imported alert sounds, and price alerts you create. If you are signed in to your browser, some of this may be synchronised across your own devices by your browser vendor (e.g. Google Chrome Sync), governed by that vendor's privacy policy, not ours.

b) Data we process on our servers (only if you sign in / use Pro)

DataPurposeLegal basis (GDPR)
Email addressSign-in via one-time email code; account identificationPerformance of a contract (providing the account you requested)
Pro entitlement (whether you are Pro, plan, dates)Unlock and maintain Pro features you paid forPerformance of a contract
24/7 email alerts you create (coin, condition, target, your email)To check your alerts in the cloud and email you when they trigger, even with the browser closed (Pro feature you enable)Consent (you switch this on) / performance of a contract
Feedback you submit (message text)To read and act on your feedbackConsent (you choose to send it)

We do not collect your name, location, browsing history, or the content of the web pages you visit. The floating price overlay runs locally in the page and sends nothing about that page to us.

c) Payment data

Payments are handled entirely by our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy. We never receive or store your card details. We only receive a confirmation that a payment succeeded, linked to your account, so we can activate Pro.

3. Third-party services (processors)

TradeCorner relies on the following services. Personal data (your email) is shared only with the first three, and only when you sign in or use the related feature:

ServiceRoleData involved
SupabaseAuthentication & database (accounts, Pro status, email alerts)Email, Pro status, alert settings
ResendSends the sign-in code and alert emailsEmail address
Lemon SqueezyPayment processing for ProHandled by them; we receive only payment status
Binance, CoinGecko, exchangerate-api, alternative.mePublic market data (prices, charts, FX, Fear & Greed)No personal data. Requests carry no account information

Market-data requests are made directly from your browser to those providers to show live prices; they are not tied to your identity.

4. Data retention

5. Where your data is processed

Our processors may store and process data on servers located inside or outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where data leaves the EEA, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the processor's Standard Contractual Clauses. See the privacy policies of Supabase, Resend and Lemon Squeezy.

6. Your rights

If you are in the EEA/UK, under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, including deleting your account and all associated data, email us at [email protected] from your account email address and we will action it within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Spain, the AEPD).

7. Cookies & tracking

The extension does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not track your activity across websites. A sign-in session token is stored locally on your device solely to keep you logged in; it is not used for tracking.

8. Children

TradeCorner is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. Cryptocurrency information is provided for general informational purposes and is not financial advice.

9. Security

Access to your account data is protected by row-level security so that each account can only read its own records. Sign-in uses one-time email codes rather than reusable passwords. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the extension evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
